Causes of weight gain

There may be many causes of weight gain in a person. The causes can also relate to your personal habits. Many a times, there is consumption of foods which are high in calories. And, many people aren’t aware of the calories they are having on daily basis. This may relate to calories of having outside food.

Fried and junk foods play a major role in weight gain of a person. Even the drinks which you have on daily basis are responsible for excessive weight gain. Carbonated and fizzy drinks play a major role in your weight gain. They are high in calories and are bad for your health.

Other causes of weight gain can relate to any type of stress. Stress plays an imperative role in obesity today. More and more people are being obese due to stress. With stress; depression also plays an equivalent role in weight gain.

People who are depressed have more carving for sweets. This in turn results in major weight gain. So, you can keep this factor in mind. It’s imperative to keep depression and stress under control to cure the problem of weight gain.

Others causes of weight gain include hormonal imbalance in a person. This can result in physical changes in the body. Hormonal imbalance results in excessive weight gain in a person.

Other reason for excessive weight gain can be caused by thyroid problems in the body. When there is an increase in thyroid gland in a person, this can result in weight gain. Many a times, genetic conditions can also lead to excessive weight gain in a person. If parents are obese, then there is a possibility that child could be obese. This is also amongst one of the most common factor.

Other reasons of weight gain can relate to having medications. There are various medications which have side implications of weight gain. Medicines which are used; to correct hormonal imbalance in the body usually have side effect of weight gain. So, it’s vital to keep in mind this factor.

These are some common factors which are responsible for weight gain; it also depends on body type.
