Love and obsession

Where there is love, there has to be obsession. Healthy obsession indicates that there is a feeling of care and concern for your partner. But, in case of severe obsession, there can problems in your relationship. Being in love and being obsessed with something are two varied things.

Here are some differences in case of love and obsession:

Love has no boundaries and limits. Love is all about freedom and expression. On the other hand, obsession is a state where you feel you have no freedom. In case of obsession, your partner may track all your details. Obsession is also related to state of jealousy. If your partner is obsessed with you, it can cause problems in your relationship.

Love is often associated with selfless giving. On the other hand, obsession is associated with being in control. In a normal relationship, there would be no expectations from your partner. But, in case of an obsessive relationship, there can be a feeling of return. If your partner gives you gifts in an obsessive relationship, it may be related to being in control. It’s like being in a favored relationship.

A relationship of love is always a safe and secured relationship. But, in an obsessed relationship, there is insecurity involved. In case of an obsessive relationship, your partner wants to know every single detail related to you. In case of obsessive relationship, factor of trust is missing in nature. And, without trust any relationship can’t survive.

An obsessive relationship is an incomplete relationship. There is no understanding and commitment involved in this type of relationship. An obsessive relationship is truly hard to survive. Obsession in the form of care in love is acceptable. But obsession in violent form isn’t acceptable.

Love is a pure feeling which is in purest form. But, obsession is a negative emotion, which makes a relationship difficult.
