High heels and health
High
heels can affect your health in way. Continuously wearing high heels can cause
a considerable damage to your health. Wearing high heels not only affect your
legs. But, it also affects other parts of the body. Though, people believe
wearing high heels only causes damage to your ankle and foot. Wearing high
heels for a long time can cause ankle and knee pains.
Almost
twenty percent of people suffer knee pain because of wearing high heels. But,
why do wearing high heels affect our body health? The reason is simple, because
of external pressure of our entire body weight.
When
you wear pencil heels, your excessive body weight is balanced on a heel. As, a
result of which there is an imbalance in your body. The imbalance then causes
pains in different parts of the body. Other than the ankle pain; lower back
pain is also common. As the body pressure is on the back side, your lower back
tends to get affected by the same. Lower back pain and mid back pain is common
in case of wearing high heels. So, prolonged use of high heels can affect you
in a very negative way.
Wearing
high heels is a part of women’s personality. But, it isn’t important to wear
them all the time, you should try and avoid when not required. If you are
already affected by high heels, then you should stop wearing them immediately.
There are special shoes available in case of person suffering from ankle or
knee pain.
If
a person is affected by high heels, then acupuncture is a good option. It
relieves the pain in your pressure points. No doubt, wearing high heels can
make you look good. But, your health is also an important part of your personality.
