Fad diet is fast and convenient way to reduce weight, but there are various negative implications in case of fad diet. Fad diet is a short term diet; as a result it doesn’t provide complete nutrition to the body. There are various types of diet plans in fad dieting, with individual diet programs. Fad dieting can’t be considered on long term basis. It doesn’t include important nutrients required for your body. If you plan to continue fad dieting for long, it can also affect your internal health.

Fad dieting is a short term process for losing weight. Fad dieting can cause problems, if continued for too long. Let’s take a look at some of the dangers of fad dieting.

Fad diet leads to nutritional and vitamin deficiency in your body. If you adopt a particular diet, say ‘grapefruit diet’, it doesn’t include all essential nutrients for your body. Your diet plan in this case consists of grapefruit juice and salads. In this case you are deprived of other important nutrients for your body. This is one of the main drawbacks of fad diet. It affects your internal health. You don’t get to eat proper food in case of fad diet. The food is based on individual diet plan. As a result of which you tend to feel weary of having that diet.

 Fad diet is a source for short term weight loss. As a result, when you leave the diet, you come back to your normal body weight. In this case your weight loss in temporary in nature. Fad diet isn’t recommended for long term weight loss solution. It is a short term solution for weight loss.

Fad diet can ruin your healthy eating pattern. It harms your regular eating diet plan, and it’s difficult to come back to it again. You should keep in mind negative side of fad diet before opting for the same.
