How to clean silver

Silver has its own shine in terms with jewelry and other products. But, after some time, the shine tends to get dull. This is a natural process in case of silver. There are many ways in which you can clean silver to make it shine again.

There are special polish liquids available in market today. You can easily use these products to clean your silver. There are even cleaning liquids available in case of silver. Though, there are some natural methods you can follow to clean silver in an effective way.

Here are some of the tips you can follow in case of cleaning silver:

Baking soda is an effective way to clean silver properly. Any silver piece which you want to clean should be wiped with cotton cloth at first place. Now add your piece of silver to warm water and let it be there for six minutes. Remove the piece, and now clean it with baking soda.

You can take two teaspoons of baking soda. Put few drops of water and prepare a mix. With the help of cotton cloth, wipe you silver piece. Now you can wash your silver with water. But, you have to be careful regarding use of baking soda. If you use it in excess, it can also harm your silver piece.

Silver pieces and jewelry can also be cleaned using plain toothpaste. Take some toothpaste in a cotton cloth. Apply it on your silver piece. Scrub it a bit, till it is cleaned.

Once the tarnish is completely off the silver piece, now you can put it in warm water. Let it be there for eight minutes. Now, you can wash with plain water. You can easily clean your silver jewelry and pieces in case of this method.
