Difference in friendship and love

There is a huge difference between friendship, infatuation and love. In case of love, the feelings are related to every aspect. This relates to mental, emotional and physical compatibility. There is a sense of complete bonding in a love relationship. Infatuation is short term in nature.

Infatuation can relate to any type of physical compatibility in terms of a person. In case of friendship, there is a rational and emotional bonding. Friendship is based on total trust and support. There is no physical intimacy or attributes involved in case of friendship. However, love and friendship, both the things are co-related to each other.

One major factor which differentiates friendship and love is type of understanding. In case of friendship, understanding is mutual. There is no need to make your friend understand things which you have not meant. It’s like a support which is from within. Friendship is like an instant compatibility which works on basis of mutual understanding.

On the other hand, understanding has to be developed in a love relationship. Understanding in a love relationship is developed, with due course of time. And, when it’s fully developed, there is a mutual compatibility in a love relationship. So, there can be some efforts in this case, to develop an understanding in a love relationship.

Friendship and love takes into account individuality of different people. In case of friendship, you can get attached to many friends. But, in case of love, you get attached to a particular person. Friendship is related to many people.

There are lots of other differences in case of love and friendship. When you are meeting the person you love, your heart rate increases. But, when you meet a friend everything is normal. You always want to stay with the person you love. This doesn’t happen in case of friendship.
