However, this can be subsided by having medications. Excessive scarring is another side effect, which may be caused by surgical face-lift. If your skin is delicate, then there might be scarring in the affected area of the incision. This may subside within a week, but you must take precaution regarding this. You can apply ice pack to reduce the swelling and scarring in the affected area.
